Lets talk about loosing weight!!

I have struggled with my weight ever since I gave birth to my little boy. I used to make tons of excuses and blame the weight gain on breastfeeding since I was EBF (exclusively breastfeeding) for 16 months of my sons life. For some weird reason I kept thinking that after I weaned him of the boob I would rapidly start loosing weight.. Boy was I wrong!! I got into this depressed stage due to all the family problems that were going on at the time and just ate and ate because I felt comfort in eating my feelings away. A week before Halloween 2012 my grandma decided to take me to the gym and make me sign up because she was tired of seeing me so unhappy about my weight. It took tons of pushing but I finally made my way to the gym November 6, 2012 a day after my 21st birthday. Let me tell you about that day, I was NOT looking forward to going because I was afraid of looking stupid and not know what to do so I went straight to the elliptical trainer. Whoa I had no idea how out of shape I was until about 10 mins into my workout. I felt like my legs were about to fall off so I did a total of 15 mins and walked out. (Bad I know!) The next day I decided to give it another try and I'm so glad I did because now I actually look forward to going to the gym every afternoon. I had a session yesterday with a trainer and he taught me how to use the equipment and did a pretty intense workout. Today is Tuesday November 13th and it marks one week since I decided to change my eating habits and start working out and I'm so proud of myself!! I will not say my weight yet but I promise I will keep you guys updated and do another weightloss update next week!! :) Thanks for reading. <3

^^ *Tonights dinner* Talapia fish baked with cilantro, zucchini and yellow peppers seasoned wth minced garlic, Mrs.dash lemon pepper and 1/2 a cup of fresh squeezed orange juice. The brown rice was cooked with water and a pinch of salt. Once the rice was fully cooked I squeezed a few drops of lime juice, I also chopped some fresh cilantro and mixed it into the rice.
